A ceremony of silence in memory of journalists and technicians Algerian victims of a plane crash in Vietnam, March 8th, 1974, was organized by the Embassy of Algeria in Hanoi, on March 8th, 2010. The ceremony took place at the monument dedicated to the memory of the martyrs of duty which had been inaugurated during the state visit of President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika, to Vietnam in October 2000.
It was attended by the Ambassador of Algeria in this country, Mr. Cherif CHIKHI and members of the Embassy attended at this ceremony. It has been made on this occasion, a bouquet of flowers was presented on the stele and the Fatiha of the Holy Quran was recited.
We recall that the 15 victims were to cover the visit of the late President Houari Boumediene in Vietnam during the plane crash.
