Curriculum Vitae of Mr. Naceur BOUCHERIT

Mr. Naceur BOUCHERIT is the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Governments :

Career diplomat with rank of plenipotentiary minister, he occupied until the end of September 2004 high functions of Chief of Cabinet of Mrs. delegated Minister near the Head of Government, responsible for National Community Abroad. He occupied before the same high functions near the former delegated Minister near the Minister of State, Foreign Affairs Minister, responsible for National Community Abroad and Regional Cooperation.

He occupied functions of Minister-Counselor at the Embassy of Algeria in Ottawa (Canada) from July 1996 to July 2004 after having exerted in America General Department, of Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the functions of head clerk then of deputy manager “Canada and Mexico”.

Mr. BOUCHERIT was also posted to the Algerian diplomatic representations successively in Conakry (Guinea) in 1984 and Bern (Switzerland) in 1987 in capacity as secretary then Foreign Affairs counselor, after having begun his career at the Central Administration of Ministry for Foreign Affairs at Department of Legislation And Treaties and Department of Protocol (Official Visits and Ceremonial).

He joined the services of Ministry for Foreign Affairs after having obtained, in 1979, the diploma of National School of Administration (ENA) of Algiers, diplomatic branch.

MARITAL STATUS

• Born on 19th February, 1956, in El-Bayadh (Algeria)

• Family circumstances : married, three children of 22, 19 and 10 years old

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• 1978 Training formation at the embassy of Algeria in Moscow and the permanent mission of Algeria in New York

• 1981 - 1982 Secretariat-general of the MFA, head of office of legislative businesses to the sub-administration of the legislation and international treaties.

• 1982 – 1984 Administration of the Protocol, head of office of the official visits.

• 1984 – 1987 Embassy of Algeria in Conakry (Guinea), chargé d' affaires ai, during one year then in charge of the economic affairs, cultural, of the press and consular in the capacity as First Secretary.

• 1987 – 1990 Embassy of Algeria in Bern (Swiss), First Secretary then Counselor of Foreign Affairs in charge of the cultural affairs and relations with the press.

• 1990 – 1996 General Administration "America", initially head of Canada Bureau then deputy-manager "Canada and Mexico".

• 1996 – 2000 Embassy of Algeria in Ottawa (Canada) First Counselor then Minister plenipotentiary, Chargé of the political and economic affairs in the capacity as second to the embassy.

• August 2000 Recall to the Central Administration in Algiers

• January 2001, Head of the cabinet of Mr. Abdelaziz Ziari, Minister delegate, next to the Minister of State, Foreign Minister, responsible of the National Community Abroad and the Regional Co-operation.

• October 2003, Head of the cabinet of Mrs Sakina Messaadi, Minister delegate to the Head of the Government, responsible for the national community abroad.

• Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (November 2004), to the Kingdom of Cambodia (March 2005), to the Union of Myanmar (July 2005) and to Lao People's Democratic Republic (September 2005).
