The Embassy of Algeria to Hanoi brings to the attention of Algerian Nationals regularly registered to its services that the period of extension and renewal of passports with the current model initially set to March 31, 2010, was postponed to November 24, 2010.

The transitional period preceding the introduction of biometric passports will begin on Monday, 1 March 2010.
It is therefore strongly recommended to Algerian citizens whose passport validity expires before September 30, 2010 to file their applications for renewal or extension of their passports on the following schedule:
- Monday, March 01 to Wednesday, March 10, 2010 to holders of passports valid until May 15, 2010;
- Thursday March 11 to Saturday, March 20, 2010 to holders of expiring between May 16 and June 30, 2010;
- - Monday 22 March to Wednesday, March 31, 2010 to holders of passports expire between July 1 and September 30, 2010.
The filing for the extension or renewal of passports must be deposited at the diplomatic mission or consular district of residence, which will handle the processing and issuing the travel document.
The travel documents issued well before March 31, 2010 will be valid until March 2015, deadline set by the Organization of International Civil Aviation for the generalization of Electronic Biometric Passport.

The Algerian Insurance Company SAA would like to warn of the existence of fraud which affects its insurance product "Repatriation of bodies" on sell from Algeria to the benefit of the Algerian community living abroad.
To guard against this fraud, do not accept the policies of individual insurance tickets of repatriation of bodies that are on offer abroad since the insurance can only be purchased within the agencies of the SAA in Algeria or within Algerian embassies and consulates abroad, either individually or collectively as part of collective agreements that may be undertaken by associations of migrants for the benefit of their members.

Please ask for verification and confirmation of the authenticity of individual insurance contract for the repatriation of the body that was endorsed by providing the following information:

- Dates of establishment and effect of the contract;
- Subscriber Identification (name, surname and date of birth);
- The amount of the premium paid.
Authentication, after verification, the contract is signed in the best interests of the subscriber.

The Embassy of Algeria to Vietnam would like to bring to the attention of Algerian nationals residents in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and the Union of Myanmar that the SAA Insurance launches the insurance product for the repatriation of bodies of Algerians residing abroad. This insurance product is available in the distribution of the SAA, throughout the national territory, since the first in July 2009. It guarantees the repatriation of the body of the deceased insured person, from his country of residence abroad until burial in Algeria and the provision of a close relative of a plane ticket, roundtrip return to accompany the body.
This insurance is valid in all countries of the world and issued without limit of age and without medical examination, can be purchased in Algeria with the distribution of the PAC, or individually by the insured person himself or herself or by a third authorized person (with the insurance application completed and signed by the person to insure) or collectively by associations of Algerian immigrants. Subscription collective gives a discount on the premium depending on the number of insured.
the fee is two thousand five hundred (2,500) convertible Algerian Dinars (with and provision of a receipt of exchange) per year per insured person.

The Embassy of Algeria at Hanoi informs all Algerian Nationals residing in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar that the Société Nationale d'Assurances "SAA" is about to launch shortly, an insurance product for repatriation of the remains. This new insurance product provides the following advantages:
- An individual or collective subscription by the Associations;
- Guaranteed charge: Repatriation of the body on the place of death abroad until burial in Algeria and provision of a two way ticket in economy class for the accompanist of the deceased;
- No limit on the amount taken in charge since the guaranteed benefit is paid entirely by the nature of the SAA assistant;
- No medical underwriting;
- No age limit;
- The insurance is valid worldwide;
- The amount of the premium annual insurance is Two Thousand Five Hundred Algerian Dinars (2500 DA) convertible, per person.
The marketing of this insurance will be carried out, first in Algeria, through the network of the SAA consisting of direct Agencies and Bancassurances, in partnership with a foreign reinsurer. The subscription and distribution will be extended to other channels, using the Internet, starting with the upgrade of the electronic payment systems.
The prospectus relating to this insurance will be available to nationals at the Embassy of Algeria to Vietnam, upon reception. An information message on this insurance will be published on the website of the SAA www.saa.dz, the day before the date of actual launch of the marketing of this product. Preventive measures against influenza A / H1N1 called swine flue |

The Embassy of Algeria in Vietnam reports that preventive measures have been taken by the Algerian authorities to deal with the threat of influenza A / H1N1 called swine flue as following:
- Control and health monitoring on every posts entries in Algeria (by air, sea and land).
- The setting up of early warning and monitoring at central and local level.
- Availability of equipment and consumable medical supplies as well as an antiviral treatment stockpile (Tamiflu) in the order of 6.5 million doses.
It should be noted that the entry of foreign nationals to Algerian territory does not require the presentation of a health document for this type of infection.

The ordinance No 08-02 dated on 24th July 2008 on the Finance law complementary for the year 2008 fixing the conditions of delivery of certificates of change of residence to our Nationals on the occasion of their definitive return in Algeria.
"Article 42.: the provisions of Article 202 of the law No 79-07 of July 21st, 1979, modified and supplemented, bearing code of the customs are modified, supplemented and written as follows:
"Art. 202: On the occasion of their definitive return in Algeria, the nationals registered near our diplomatic and consular representations, which justify of an uninterrupted stay of at least three (3) years abroad at the date of the change of residence duly justified by the certificate issued by the authorities of the host country attesting of the restitution of their residence permit and which never profited from the advantages related to the change of residence, can import without payment:

- A motor vehicle for transporting people of the tariff heading No 87-03 of a cubic capacity lower or equal to 2000 cc for alternate lighting, the piston engine motor vehicles by compression (diesel) or a utility motor vehicle for the carriage of merchandise weight not exceeding 5950 tons or a vehicle with wheels, subjected to registration. These means of transport must be new at the date of importation.

Pursuant to the law Nº01/10 of the 11 Rabie Ethani 1422 correspondent at bearing 03 July 2001 law mining, the National Agency of the Mining Patrimony is launching a national and international call for bidding to the investors for purposes of attribution adjudication of mining titles of exploitation or exploration, for the lodgings of mineral substances appearing as annexes ci-joined.

- A written request of the ship-owner;
- Elements of individualization of the ship or ships to be put in exploitation;
- An official certificate of ship-owner delivered by the country of origin;
- Technical caracteristic of machines of fishing to be used;
- A list of the crew to be embarked;

The Embassy of Algeria at Hanoi would like to inform to the Algerian nationals established in Vietnam, in Laos, in Cambodia and in Myanmar, registered near its Consular services, that pursuant to the provisions contained in article 10 of the ordinance No 05/05 of the 18 joumadha ethania 1426 corresponding to 25 July 2005, bearing finance law complementary for 2005, the importation of the Vehicles of Tourism of less than three (03) years of usage is removed, a deadline to two (02) months was fixed for the implementation of this provision and this as from July 25, 2005. In addition, the regulation leading the importation of the new Vehicles of Tourism remains in vigor.
The Embassy of Algeria informs that an exceptional revision of the electoral rolls will be opened from the 17 to August 24 in forecast of the referendum on the Charter for peace and the national reconciliation, next 29th of September.
The Embassy of Algeria points out that this exceptional revision intervenes under the terms of the provisions of ordinance 97-07 of March 06, 1997 modified and supplemented, bearing organic law relating to the electoral mode and of the order in Council 05-278 of bearing 14 August 2005 convocation of the electorate by the President of the Republic.
The protocol on the total treatment of the debt of Vietnam with regard to Algeria was signed on June 10, 2005 in Hanoi. With this occasion a ceremony was organized with the seat of the Vietnamese ministry for finances during which was carried out to the signature of this protocol by Mrs. Le Thi Bang Deputy-Minister of finances and Mr. Naceur Boucherit Ambassador of Algeria to Vietnam with the presence of high persons in charge for the Vietnamese ministry for finances, the representatives many other ministries - institutions - organizations and press.
It is to be recalled that this protocol consolidates the amount of the debt Vietnamese toward Algeria from which 60% will be refund in eight successive payments as from June 30, 2005 until December 31, 2008. The other 40% of the debt will be refund in products and services in particular the realization of social housing and the acquisition of a holding in certain sectors of the economy Vietnamese.
Intervening at the end of the ceremony Ambassador of Algeria to Vietnam has underlined that with the signature of this protocol the question of the bilateral debt comes to be the subject of a final payment opening of the new and promising prospects for the economic and commercial relations bilateral. Besides, it reiterated the invitation with the whole of the economic operators of the two countries to look further into the dialogue and to multiply the exchanges to give to the co-operation and the Algerian-Vietnamese partnership a dimension which is with the height of the political good-will of the high leaders of the two countries and of the reciprocal economic potentialities which have in more the advantage of being complementary.
On her side Mrs. Le Thi Bang Tam Vice-minister of the Finances has estimated that the signature of the protocol on the total treatment of the debt with regard to Algeria opens a new period in the economic relations, political and social between the two countries, carrying these R elations with a new height, in another connection, the signature of this protocol lines a significant significance, reflecting the efforts of Vietnam in the payment of the old debts, filling its engagements in front of the creditors, contributing to raise his prestige on the international scene E, simultaneously, the final payment of the old debts will contribute to open new prospects for the relations for co-operation between the Vietnamese and Algerian companies.
