The constitutional Council proclaims the final and official results poll
The constitutional Council proclaimed yesterday the final and official results poll on the project of charter for peace and the national reconciliation which was held Thursday September 29, 2005.
The final results of the poll announced by the president of the constitutional Council, Mr. Boualem Bessaieh, are established as follows:
- a Number of registered voters: 18.313.594
- a Number of voters: 14.606.344
- Rate of participation: 79,76 %
- Votes cast: 14.435.113
- a Number of voters "yes": 14.057.371 (either a national rate 97,38 %)
- a Number of voters by "no": 377.748 (either a national rate of 2,62 %)
- a Number of spoilt ballot papers: 171.231.
