ALGIERS- Former Vietnamese Vice-President Nguyen Thi Binh declared Wednesday here that the Third World countries have challenges to overcome. "In the present as well as in future, we have challenges to overcome to enable our countries make progress not only towards their political independence but also towards their economic independence," Nguyen Thi Binh told the press at the end of the audience granted to her by President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika. "We have discussed with President Bouteflika. We believe that we were supportive in the past and we are sure that we will continue to remain so in the future, because we have always shared the same goal and the same hope," said Nguyen Thi Binh.
Two Vietnamese journalists, Mrs. Nguyen Hong Cam, from Nhan Dan Newspaper, and Mrs. My Hanh Pham, Quan Doi Nhan Dan Newspaper, also attended at the same conference.
